It
is important for us to go to the nature of art,
to
its traditions and roots, in an era where "commercial kitsch,"
"materialistic terror" and "obsessive sensation seeking"
try to dominate the landscape of contemporary art.
The encounter with Australia and its indigenous population
prompted us to get closer to the sources of art.
The confrontation with the fact that one of the oldest world cultures
(with its - in the best sense of this word - utopian ideology)
is
treated superficially and marginally, and performs
only an ornamental role as a tourist attraction, initially caused our
frustration
which led to curiosity and fascination.

r t a l f a e. V Gallery creates an opportunity to present our artistic work
as
well as invites those artists whose vision and work correspond with ours.
In
the future, a r t a l f a e. V. intends to exhibit the works of Aboriginal
artists
in
the hope of establishing a contact and co-operation through art.
The whole profit from the Gallery's sales will
benefit the Aboriginal Monument Fund.
